DANIEL PRANDL piano, composer, arranger
Daniel Prandl is born 17th of November 1979 in Burghausen / Salzach.
Music is part and parcel of his life since he was four years old. Later, as a teenager, he relates to jazz. A love, he never lost hold of. Consequently he studies at the University for Music and Performing Arts, Mannheim and at the Sibelius Academy, Helsinki.
Meanwhile one of the most recognized piano players in Germany, Daniel is part of various projects and causes sensation in a mainstream context like Dirik Schilgen's Band JazzGrooves as well as with his Duo with trumpet player Thomas Siffling. With the Band "Schlag auf Schlag" he accompanies Radio- & TV-Shows for NDR, WDR and SWR. Apart from that, he works constantly for theaters like the Nationaltheater Mannheim or the Capitol, Mannheim.
Highlight for the time being is the release of Daniel's first album as a leader: "Fables & Fiction" is released June 8th 2012 on jazz'n'arts. And it's certainly not the last one…
